Leeds re-arrange Norwegian friendly-clash

Leeds United were originally due to play Lyn Oslo on the same evening, but the game was cancelled following the Norwegian club’s fall into bankruptcy.

Leeds United CEO Shaun Harvey said:

- We were aware that many of our fans had booked to make the trip to Oslo and we were keen to arrange an alternative game in Norway once the Lyn Oslo match was postponed to avoid disappointment. We have spoken to a number of our fans who are travelling, who felt keeping the game on the Tuesday was the priority. While Bergen is some distance from Oslo we hope that our fans will still be able to attend. There were no viable alternatives in the Oslo area, he says.

- We’d like to thank Brann Bergen for stepping in at short notice and we look forward to travelling there.

The Brann team includes former Leeds United midfielders Eirik Bakke and Gylfi Einarsson. Brann are currently 12th in the Norwegian Premier League.

Brann’s Chief operating officer Roald Bruun-Hanssen said:

- It is great to offer Leeds supporters throughout Norway this chance to see their favourite club. We also believe that the Brann supporters will enjoy seeing this match.

Tickets will be sold at NOK 200 for adults and NOK 50 for children/seniors.
