Brann loan Juninho and Diego Pachega

These are the two 18-year olds who visited Brann's training grounds for ten days in July. A loan-agreement through the 2010-season has been made possible thanks to local Jan Berg. His practical and financial contributions makes this a win-win situation for Brann.

- We are loaning Juninho and Diego without any financial risk. In today's market this is very positive for us, and we are thankful for Jan Berg's contribution, both financially and in regards to securing us and exciting contact-network in a large football-nation, says Roald Bruun-Hanssen.

The players belong to the academy Club Desportivo outside Sao Paulo, an academy that Brann have visited and view as very professional and well-run. The visit from the two 18-year olds has been the first step in what will hopefully be a long and prosperous cooperation.

Last time the players were in Bergen, it was said that Brann were gaining knowledge about player-development, not to mention loads of inspiration for Brann's young players and coaches. Brann have the opportunity of sending players and coaches to stay with the academy in Brazil, as well as having access to players who may contribute to Brann's squad.

Brann's head coach Rune Skarsfjord made it clear that Brann's main focus will still be on developing players with local roots, and that eventual players from Brazil will be an additional bonus.

- Juninho and Diego cover positions where we don't have double coverage from our reserves. They will be given chances to play in our reserve-squad, and it will be up to them to prove if they are good enough to be selected for our first-team squad,  Rune Skarsfjord told Brann.no.

Jacinto Júnior Conceição Cabral goes by Juninho. He is a striker. His friend Diego Henrique Pachega de Souza is a left winger.

The players will be in Bergen from friday, and will most likely be joining the first-team on the training grounds from monday. It is likeley that they will both have their reserve-squad debut in match on August 23rd.

As part of the loan-agreement with Club Desportivo, Brann have the opportunity to extend the loan-agreement through 2011 if Brann choose to do so.

- Does this loan-agreement mean that there are players on their way out of Brann during this transfer window?

- We understand that there will be such speculations, but as of today we have not received any signals of players being sold, says Skarsfjord to Brann.no.
